Discovering the "Second Life"
When that retail company eventually moved to an online-only model and closed its physical doors, it was exactly the push we needed. The door opened for us to return to our roots in North Carolina, and Tim and I took the leap. I wanted to recreate the room-by-room design experience I had fallen in love with, but this time with a deeply personal, local touch. That’s when Tim discovered a calling of his own. He began building beautiful, sturdy furniture for our own home and realized he had a true gift for it. Together, we started finding pre-loved pieces, restoring them, and giving them a second chance to become the anchor of someone's living space.

For years, the corporate world of numbers and bookkeeping was my entire life. But a job transfer to Georgia, and a season of personal loss, forced me out of my comfort zone and into the aisles of a major home decor and furnishings store. My name is Cheryl, and in my mid-50s, I finally found my true calling. We took a struggling store and turned it into a profitable hub of community and style. I fell in love with merchandising, connecting with people, and the absolute magic of putting different pieces together to make a beautiful room.
